Coca-Cola: Positive Footage from Security Cameras

When we see any Security camera footage we always witness a negative incident – a robbery, theft, attack, shooting and other acts of crime. What about the positive side, these cameras are on throughout the day, even when positive things are happening in front of the camera. Coke has created this montage of positive footages found in security camera’s across the globe. Have a look at it, and share the bright side of life!

Rugbeer

Salta Rugbeer
Argentina is one of the country well-known for having a huge football following, but the northern Salta province of Argentina has more rugby followers than football. Argentina’s Salta Beer wanted to target these rugby lovers by creating a beer vending machine which one has to tackle before getting a can!

Strongbow Neon Night Surfing

Strongbow Neon Night Surfing

To mark the start of summer, Strongbow joined forces with legendary surfing filmmaker Jack McCoy (Endless Summer II), Bali Strickland and Eugene Tan (Aquabumps) to capture Australia’s largest glow in the dark surf attempt at Bondi Beach. On summer’s eve, 17 Strongbow surfers descended on Bondi Beach in custom made glow-in-the-dark surfboards and wetsuits as an official “welcome to summer” for Strongbow. Channel 10′s Bondi Rescue lifeguards, Corey Oliver and Andrew Reid, were among the surfers taking part. Hundreds of onlookers lined the beach and the Bondi Icebergs balcony to catch a glimpse of the spectacle.

McDonalds: Best Fries in the World Billboard

Lovely billboard work from Leo Burnett for McDonalds, simple yellow billboard spotlights pointing skyward that can be seen from up to 3 miles away, with the copy “Best Fries on the Planet”.

Toyota’s Social Network Racer

By far, the best ever Facebook Integration in a Game. Brilliant execution, the game graphics are on standards of actual racing games, and I yet can’t believe everything was being executed in flash. So good is the game, and aptly named ‘Social Network Racer‘ by Toyota made by Japan agency – PARTY.

Many features like personalized tracks, friends tracks which you can compete with, photos and status updates between the game, etc. make it highly interactive. Watch this video for the customized race-track:

Also a screenshot of the friends integration in the game:

Don’t want to add any more words words, but definitely something you don’t wanna miss! This is something which will raise the bar in online gaming soon.

Opel Movano Banner : Case Study

Everyone uses services like WeTransfer, YouSendit, etc to send huge files over e-mail. Opel came up with a creative idea, to promote the Opel Movano Van range, McCannLowe created a banner that is both useful and innovative : working just like websites such as YouSendIt or WeTransfer, the banner allows to upload up to 2 GigaBytes of file in the rear of the van and send it to someone accross the web… who’ll then receive an email to download the file and learn about the Opel Movano.

AXE Auto Romeo

AXE Auto Romeo
One of my favorite brands online – AXE just launched a new mobile app. Solves a simple problem of the typical AXE Man – handling multiple girls at any single time. The concept is, while you’re on a date with one, the app helps you flirt with the other girls by just feeding in a few points in advance. App can be downloaded for iPhone & Android by clicking here. Watch the video below to get an idea:

Hotel booked through a Mobile App in Freefall

Hotel Booking while Freefalling

So you’ve built a brilliant new app for your hotel booking site and you want the whole world to know just how fast it is as well as booking their accommodation through the app. Where do you start your marketing campaign? Well about 20,000 feet up in a airplane with veteran parachute jumper JT Holmes holding a phone and ready to jump out and book his hotel while he free fals at over 150 mph. Not only does JT have to worry about booking the hotel but he also literally lands on the beach and makes sure that his booking has made it through the system. Nobody has any idea what the editing was like on this video and if the app actually worked but this is a brilliant creative concept that gets the core message about speed across brilliantly. As more and more people decide to use their mobile devices to access travel plans mobile is a key market for booking sites to tap in to and this video should explode with views increasing downloads and giving people access to the 150,000 hotels on Hotels.com. The other thing worth noticing here is that because of the quality of camera (a $300 Go Pro) the cost of this promotional video would not have been sky high (see what I did there) but the quality is still outstanding. Smart move and it makes me want to go and check out their app so it’s a job well done.

Volkswagen BlueMotion: Real Time Roulette

Volkswagen is known for some really innovative online stuff. This time they turned a Norway road into a real time game of roulette using Google Maps. In order to highlight the main feature of the new Golf BlueMotion car (it’s low fuel consumption), in a meaningful and memorable way to consumers, Volkswagen created the BlueMotion Roulette game. To do this they drove a Golf BlueMotion up Norway’s route E6 on a single tank of diesel and encouraged users to bet on when the car would run out of fuel. The winner would get the car.

Hollywood’s First Social Film – INSIDE by Intel & Toshiba

Intel & Toshiba have teamed up for what they call Hollywood’s first social film called INSIDE made by the Director of Disturbia starring Emmy Rossum and YOU. There’s not much information, except on the website where they say it will be a live entertainment experience blending film and social media. Will be interesting to watch when it releases on July 25th.
